Are you taking the IELTS next year? Are you coming to the UK? Here are some tips on how to get prepared:
- Do your research
This can be overwhelming, as there is a lot to know, so give yourself plenty of time to do this part. Research courses, locations, transport, culture, etc. It’s a lot, but it will help you so much when you get in the UK. The internet is full of information, and it can be hard to find exactly what you need. We prepared a guide to help you with that, and it’s FREE of charge: click here to download it. The guide will give you information on what to look for and where to find the information you need. There are also lots of tips on the application process for universities and visas.
- Start applying early
The earlier you gather the information and start your application process, the better. It is very common for people to miss something, or for problems to happen during the application process, delaying everything. Again, our guide can help you be prepared for these hurdles and break down the process into 9 easier steps. Click here to download it.
- Start working on your English early
This is extremely important and I can’t stress this enough! In my career as an English teacher, I’ve seen so many students trying to boost their English very close to the deadline so that they could meet the requirements. This is so stressful and unnecessary, and could cost you a lot of money and a place in the course of your dreams. Don’t let that happen! Improving one’s language skills is not a linear process and can take a bit longer than we expect. Start practising now, even if just a little a day, so that you are not rushing towards the end. We have a video on YouTube about how to work on your English skills on your own:
- Prepare for the IELTS
If you will need a certain IELTS score, start preparing for it early. You can do a mock test to check your level and then work from there. We have a free course you can sign up for and learn more about the IELTS and how to prepare for it. Click here to sign up, it’s free.
